I'm glad you visited this page! If there's one topic I'm most fond of talking about, it's myself. I don't mean to sound conceited here but, really—aren't we all that way, at least a little bit?
OK. I'm kidding around—I hope you don't mind. That's my style. I like to have fun doing what I do.
But, seriously—you should know more about me. After all, I put together the Saturday Success Seminar Series and you're obviously interested in following the steps of proven, successful millionaires. It wouldn't do you much good if I was someone who had never made any serious money doing what you dream of doing, would it?
Everything You Need To Know About Alan—In A Nutshell
I've been involved in direct marketing for more than 35 years now. In 1984, I hooked up a computer to a modem for the first time ever and connected to a dial-up computer bulletin board system (BBS). It was the first time I'd ever gotten anything from my computer that I hadn't typed in myself or put into it from a disk.
I was hooked!
In case you didn't know, BBSes were the way computer users connected with each other before the Internet was available to anyone who didn't wear a white coat and work in a government institution or large university somewhere. BBSes were all local in nature, started as hobbies. Soon, the number of people clamoring to dial into the BBSes forced most of the hobbyist operators of these systems (called sysops, which is short for "System Operator") to start acting like they owned real businesses.
As soon as I realized there were hundreds of thousands (if not millions!) of people dialing into BBSes all over the country, to share files and messages and "chat" real-time with each other, I knew I'd uncovered a goldmine!
I quickly put on my publisher-and-editor hat, and quickly put together a weekly news service called Info-Mat. Info-Mat delivered news, reviews and interviews about the computer industry to readers on BBSes. I syndicated it to more than 300 operators of local BBSes all around the world, generating a handsome at-home living in the process.
Then I launched the first true trade journal for sysops—Sysop News and CyberWorld Report. This led to the first-ever industry trade show and conference for sysops—CyberExpo '95, in Las Vegas, NV.
A HUGE, Sudden Change...
Things were going along swimmingly. My trade show was a hit. My trade journal was making great money. And my syndicated weekly electronic news service was growing rapidly.
I even put together a giant list of all the best dial-up BBSes in the world that was published every month in Computer Shopper Magazine. Sysops were coming to ME from all over the world to get listed—and I never missed an opportunity to sell them my other services in the process.
The money was getting really good.
Then, the bottom was yanked out from under me. And, the driving force behind this yanking was a thing called the World Wide Web.
Late in 1995, Web browsers were developed that made it possible to do a lot of the things we take for granted on the Internet today. And, public access to the Internet exploded, leaving the BBS world in the dust.
Soon, the only remaining BBSes were those that provided dial-up access to the Internet.
So—I took all that I knew about marketing and publishing electronically back then, all that I'd learned during those years of working with the BBS industry, and moved it over to the Web.
By the end of 1997, I had put together a joint venture deal with a major publisher of home business opportunities that wound up generating, over the next five years, more than $12 million in sales.
I've continued to publish and market online ever since, and it's helped me generate another $13 million+ since then.
Small wonder I love marketing and publishing online so much!
Here's The SHORT Version—And Why It Matters So Much:
To make a long story short, I've been marketing and publishing online for more than 24 years now. Longer than anyone else I know. And, considering the fact that I've generated more than $25 million in sales during that time, it means I'm pretty good at what I do.
Still, despite all the joy that kind of money can bring into anyone's life—my biggest thrill is helping other people achieve the kind of success I've attained, doing something they love doing.
That's why I put together the Saturday Success Seminar Series—to bring you the very best practitioners of direct marketing who love teaching as much as I do, affordably and with the least amount of trouble on your part.
Yes—I make good money producing this seminar series. And I earn every penny I make. But, I also love turning my clients and customers into mega-success stories even more than I love making really great money. And I count my blessings every day, because I'm able to make the kind of money I make doing something I love so much.
Wouldn't You Like To Do This, Too?
Of course! Who wouldn't!
The good news is, I can guide you to that kind of success. I've helped more of my clients and customers reach huge levels of success than I can even count.
I can help you, too.
The problem is, there are only so many hours in the day. My level of experience and success, combined with my willingness to help others, is so rare; I have more people begging me for help than I can possibly deal with on a personal basis.
I've continually raised my hourly consulting fees, hoping to cut the number of people who really want my personal help as a result. But, my prices are now well above $1,000 an hour, and I still can't find enough hours in a day to help everyone who wants to tap into my vast stores of knowledge, experience and resources.
So—I did the next-best thing. I started the Saturday Success Seminar Series, so I could provide more help to more people, through my own presentations and through the presentations of the other incredible marketing and business success experts I bring on for each series.
